ACTION PERFORMANCE STOCK HITS NEW LOW AFTER SALES WOES

          Shares of AZ-based Action Performance "plunged to a
     four-year low" Tuesday after the company reported a $2.1M
     first-quarter loss, "in part due to computer problems that
     hurt sales," according to Peter Corbett of the ARIZONA
     REPUBLIC.  The company, which markets and distributes auto
     racing merchandise, lost $0.13 per share, down from profits
     of $4.9M, or $0.29 a share, for the same period last year. 
     Action had a one-time charge of $2.3M after cancelling an
     IPO for its goracing.com subsidiary (AZ REPUBLIC, 1/26). 
     Shares of Action fell 24% Tuesday to close at $9.56, but
     rebounded yesterday to close at $9.75, up 2% (THE DAILY).
