EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

          ABC Chair and Walt Disney Int'l President ROBERT IGER
     was named President & COO of the Walt Disney Co.  Walt
     Disney CEO MICHAEL EISNER: "Bob Iger is recognized as a
     leader in the communications and entertainment industries." 
     In Orlando, Richard Vervier writes Iger's appointment "marks
     the first time Eisner has had a second in command since the"
     '96 resignation of Michael Ovitz (ORLANDO SENTINEL,
     1/25)....In Phoenix, Alexa Haussler reports that Ellman Cos,
     the arena developer for the Coyotes' Los Arcos complex, has
     "hired" JEFF HECHT as Dir of Public Affairs.  Hecht was
     previously Dir of Corporate Communications for the Coyotes
     (AZ REPUBLIC, 1/25)....JEFF ORLOFF was promoted to VP/Dir of
     Facilities and Operations-North America for IMG.  GRAHAM
     HEARNS will succeed Orloff as VP/Operations and Business
     Affairs for IMG Motorsports (IMG)....The SPORTSBUSINESS
     JOURNAL's Andy Bernstein reports that NHLE VP/Youth
     Marketing DINA GILBERTIE "is leaving" the league to "head up
     marketing" at SI for Women (SBJ, 1/24)....BRANDWEEK's Terry
     Lefton reports that JED CORENTHAL has been named NFLP Dir of
     Marketing and Events.  Corenthal was previously in a "sports
     marketing post" at Sony (BRANDWEEK, 1/24 issue).
