NAMES & FACES: GAME COMPANY RE-ACCLAIMS JETER; SERENA IN RED

          RE-UPS: Acclaim Sports has re-signed Yankees SS Derek
     Jeter to an exclusive, multi-year deal to serve as
     spokesperson for the company's All-Star Baseball brand. 
     Jeter will appear in a national TV campaign, as well as all
     packaging, print ads and merchandising (Acclaim)....CT-based
     Hartford Life Insurance has renewed its endorsement
     partnership with golfer Casey Martin for another three
     years.  A TV ad featuring Martin will run during ABC's
     coverage of this week's Bob Hope Chrysler Classic in CA. 
     Also, Martin's golf bag will feature the Hartford logo on
     its belly and ball pocket (Hartford).
          PUT ON YOUR RED DRESS, BABY: Serena Williams, on the
     "striking red-and-black dress" she wore during her second-
     round match at the Australian Open yesterday: "It's really
     nice, it's bright, it's exciting.  Dresses have made a great
     comeback in tennis the last few years.  You can definitely
     see wearing this dress off the court" (GLOBE & MAIL, 1/20).
          "P" IS FOR PROMO: The IBL Richmond Rhythm have been
     airing radio ads promoting "the presence of" San Diego
     Stingrays G Percy "Master P" Miller for games Tuesday night
     and tonight against the Stingrays (TIMES-DISPATCH, 1/19).
