ESPN has sold out its top level and associate
sponsorships for the fourth annual Winter X Games to be held
next month in Mount Snow, VT. All five of last year's
Winter X Games gold level sponsors -- 1-800-CALL-ATT, Nike
ACG, Mountain Dew, Taco Bell and Volkswagen of America --
have renewed their deals and are joined this year by
Motorola. Additionally, the U.S. Marine Corps., National
Milk Processors, White House Office of National Drug Control
Policy and Speed Stick return as associate sponsors and are
joined by first-time partners Adobe Systems, Bagel Bites,
Pac Sun, PowerBar and Wrigley's Winterfresh. Sponsorships
include packages on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN Radio and ESPN.com, as
well as on-site signage and hospitality. Gold level
sponsors also receive placement adjacent to the "Winter X
Games Preview" to run in ESPN Magazine. ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC
Sports will carry 18 hours of Winter X Games programming
February 4-8 (ESPN).
HAWKIN' SNACKS: To leverage its Winter X Games
association, Bagel Bites is offering eight trips to the
event via the Bagel Bites X Games Sweepstakes. Skateboarder
Tony Hawk has signed on as a spokesperson for the brand and
will be featured in a national radio tour to promote the
sponsorship and sweeps. Bagel Bites will also run banner
ads on ESPN.com and TV spots around the event (Bagel Bites).
