TO BE CONTINUED...: USOC'S SEARCH FOR NEW CEO STALLS

After "falling short" of its goal to interview all the
candidates on its "short list" for a new CEO, the USOC
search committee "broke up" last night, "days earlier than
expected," according to Zinser & Parrish of the CO Springs
GAZETTE. Citigroup Vice Chair/Global Private Banking Pete
Dawkins and former Women's World Cup President & CEO Marla
Messing were interviewed yesterday, while CO-based East West
Partners Managing Partner Harry Frampton was interviewed
Sunday. The search committee "hoped" to interview six
candidates this week but ended the session "because several
candidates could not make it on such short notice." The
target is still to present a CEO candidate to the USOC Exec
Committee on February 4 in Chicago. The committee said it
"may contact new candidates," but "none of those interviewed
have been eliminated from contention" (GAZETTE, 1/18).
