LONG LIVE THE KING: CALLAWAY/TAYLOR MADE SETTLE DISPUTE

Callaway Golf has "ended its high-profile legal battle"
with former Callaway exec and current Taylor Made-adidas
Golf President MARK KING, according to Mike Freeman of the
SAN DIEGO UNION-TRIBUNE. Under terms of the settlement,
Callaway "no longer seeks" to have King removed from his
position at Taylor Made, and King "agrees not to reveal
Callaway trade secrets." In addition, Taylor Made will
"screen King from participating in certain golf ball-related
activities until the end of this year, when his employment
contract with Callaway would have expired." Other terms
were not disclosed. In its suit, Callaway argued that its
golf ball secrets were "so threatened" that King should be
barred from working at Taylor Made (UNION-TRIBUNE, 1/15).
