NO MESSING AROUND: USOC PRESSES AHEAD WITH CEO INTERVIEWS

The USOC has "narrowed its search" for a new CEO and
will begin interviews today in Colorado Springs, CO,
according to Lynn Zinser of the CO Springs GAZETTE. Former
Women's World Cup President & CEO Marla Messing will "be
among the first interviews," along with CO-based East West
Partners Managing Partner Harry Frampton. Messing "had a
preliminary interview" with search firm SpencerStuart last
Monday. The USOC search committee "would not say" how many
people are on its "short list," but other candidates "are
believed to be top business executives." The new CEO is
"expected" to be announced at the USOC's BOD meeting in
Chicago on February 4-5 (Colorado Springs GAZETTE, 1/15).
