HARLAN TO PRESS FORWARD FOR A RENOVATED LAMBEAU FIELD

Packers President Bob Harlan "will propose" that the
Packers renovate Lambeau Field, rather than pursue a new
stadium, according to Scott Hildebrand to the GREEN BAY
PRESS-GAZETTE. A source "familiar with the project" notes
that Harlan, reacting "to fan sentiment," will propose to
the Packers BOD that the team "improve and expand" Lambeau.
The source said Harlan "has concluded there's too much
tradition and community identity in Lambeau Field to
     consider playing somewhere else" (G.B. PRESS-GAZETTE, 1/17).
AWW-DIT SHOULD BE FUN: The Packers agreed Friday to
"let legislative auditors look at their books," as lawmakers
decide whether to provide taxpayer dollars to help pay for a
new stadium or renovate Lambeau (AP, 1/15).
