EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

          JOE LOUIS BARROW was named National Dir of The First
     Tee program.  Barrow, who will fill the position vacated by
     current NHL Wild President TOD LEIWEKE, will also hold the
     title of Senior VP of the World Golf Foundation.  Barrow was
     President & COO of Denver-based IZZO Systems (The First
     Tee).  Barrow is the son of former boxer JOE LOUIS (AP,
     1/14)....Nike named PAUL MITCHELL as VP/Advanced Research &
     Development.  Mitchell was President & CEO of Nike's in
     house manufacturing subsidiary (Nike)....ESPN Magazine named
     LARRY SMITH as Senior Editor and HENRY LEE as Assistant Art
     Dir.  Smith spent the last three years at P.O.V. Magazine. 
     Lee was a freelance designer who worked on such titles as
     Women's Sports & Fitness (ESPN Magazine). ...LOUISA RUDEEN
     was named Editor-in-Chief and PETER BECKENBACH Publisher of
     Motor Boating & Sailing magazine (Times Mirror).
