LEAGUE NOTES

MONEY MATTERS: In UT, Doug Robinson wrote, "You know
what's really wrong with the NBA? The kids. There aren't
any. ... Virtually the only kids in the Delta Center these
days are the ones playing on the floor." Noting the lack of
youth in the Delta Center's lower-bowl area, Robinson wrote,
"Nobody can afford to bring their kids to an NBA game."
Jazz Owner Larry Miller: "There are not many kids at the
games because people can't afford it" (DESERET NEWS, 1/12).
SPONSOR SEARCH IN DALLAS? In Dallas, Darryl Richards
writes that the ATP Tour Senior Tennis' Champions Tour event
in 2000 "may be moved back" to 2001 because of problems
finding a sponsor and securing a date at the Four Seasons
Resort and Club. Previous sponsor PricewaterhouseCoopers
"is no longer involved." The event was last played in
Dallas in '98 (DALLAS MORNING NEWS, 1/13).
