DODGERS READY TO OFFER BOX SEATS TO THE RICH AND FAMOUS

          A part of a $50M renovation of Dodger Stadium, the
     Dodgers are adding seats behind home plate and a new section
     of corporate club seats, according to Jerry Crowe of the
     L.A. TIMES.  The new seating area directly behind home plate
     will be 58 feet from home plate, about 25 feet closer than
     it has been.  The new club section, Dugout Club, will have
     565 seats that will cost $295 per game for the first two
     rows and $195 per game for the remaining seven.  The tickets
     will include parking, a pregame meal at the new club and
     non-alcoholic drinks.  Dodgers Dir of Ticket Marketing &
     Sales Bob Wymbs said that 20% of the new club seats will be
     sold to "higher-income individuals," with the rest going to
     corporations.  Wymbs: "That area is going to be very popular
     with the Hollywood community.  It's equivalent to the floor
     seats at the Staples Center or the Forum."  The team said
     that one-fourth of the Dugout Club seats have been sold and
     all of the new field-level seats have been sold.  Beverly
     Hills-based talent agency Endeavor has purchased six tickets
     in the Dugout Club section for around $125,000.  Agency
     officials said its "baseball-loving" clients include actors
     Adam Sandler, David Spade and Ray Liotta (L.A. TIMES. 1/10).
