EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

          The WTA Tour promoted MARC LOWITZ to VP/Business
     Affairs.  Lowitz, who joined the WTA Tour in May of '93, had
     been Dir of Business Affairs (WTA Tour)....In Charlotte,
     David Poole reported that former R.J. Reynolds Sports
     Marketing President and current Senior VP/Marketing CLIFF
     PENNELL is "leaving the company" at the end of '99 to "start
     a consulting business" (CHARLOTTE OBSERVER, 12/18)....Padres
     VP/Government Relations KRIS MITCHELL is leaving the team at
     the end of January to join Marsh Inc., a risk management and
     employee benefits consulting firm.  Mitchell joined the
     Padres in March of '98 as Dir of Government Relations, left
     to manage the Prop. C campaign for a new ballpark, then
     returned to the team in her current position (Padres).
