FACILITY NOTES

          In Phoenix, Pat Flannery writes that Tempe Mayor Neil
     Giuliano and Mesa Mayor Wayne Brown "offered" four potential
     sites for a $329M Cardinals stadium in north Tempe and along
     the Tempe-Mesa border.  Both the Downtown Phoenix
     Partnership and Phoenix City Council member Cody Williams
     "proposed" one stadium site apiece in central Phoenix (AZ
     REPUBLIC, 12/17)....Miami City Commissioner Arthur Teele
     Jr., considered the "most influential" committee member, on
     Marlins Owner John Henry's proposed Miami ballpark site in
     Bicentennial Park, "I don't see any hope [for it] right
     now."  Teele said that he "would support public funding" for
     a ballpark west of Biscayne Boulevard (MIAMI HERALD, 12/17).
