PAYING THEIR DUES? RAVENS OWE $$, BUT SAY THEY'LL MAKE GOOD

The "cash-strapped" Ravens "have received leniency from
their landlords" in city and state government on more than
$2.5M in bills, according to Jon Morgan of the Baltimore
SUN. Owings Mills, MD, real estate officer Anthony Ambridge
said that the team "hasn't paid" a balance of $425,753.17
over a three-year period at its training facility. Ambridge
said that the city "failed to bill" the Ravens until this
month "due to a bureaucratic mix-up." The team said it will
pay the bill. Morgan added that the Ravens haven't "paid
for most of the cost of a gourmet kitchen built at its
request" on the upper concourse of PSINet Stadium. The MD
Stadium Authority "gave the Ravens permission to pay the
balance due" in February, when the team "receives its share"
of the NFL TV rights fee (Baltimore SUN, 12/11).
