EVEN DAVID LETTERMAN RIBS DAN PATRICK FOR COORS SPOT

ESPN's Dan Patrick appeared on the "Late Show" with
David Letterman last night. Letterman, on Patrick's

you're still active as a journalist and a host." Patrick:
"Dave, this wasn't in the pre-show interview." Letterman:
"Are you mocked by your peers for being in the beer
commercial?" Patrick: "No. ... Well, some." Patrick, when
asked by Letterman how President Clinton got on his radio
show: "He was a first-time caller, long-time listener."
Letterman, after Patrick did a Clinton impersonation:
"That's Jimmy Stewart you're doing" ("Late Show," 11/29).
The 12:00am ET edition of "SportsCenter" showed a clip of
Patrick's Letterman appearance, with anchor Rece Davis
acknowledging, "A few weeks ago, Dan got bumped from the
show by Farrah Fawcett, as well he should have been, I might
add. But Dan ... was flat out devastated" (ESPN, 11/29).
