MARKETPLACE ROUND-UP

          CA-based Power Bar, the "one dominant player" in the
     $300M energy bar market, was profiled on "The Edge" by
     CNBC's Mike Hegedus, who wore the No. 8 49ers jersey of
     company endorser Steve Young.  The company has a "near 50%
     share of the energy bar market."  Power Bar co-Founder
     Jennifer Maxwell: "[Husband & CEO] Brian and I innovated the
     category.  We innovated the product and the process."  Brian
     Maxwell, on initial plans for the product: "To be frank, at
     the time, I thought ... we'll license this to somebody ...
     that knows how to do the food business" (CNBC, 11/29)....The
     WALL STREET JOURNAL's Betsy McKay reports that the WWF,
     under pressure from "big-name advertisers," has decided to
     "tone down some of its programs" (WALL STREET JOURNAL,
     11/30)....In Indianapolis, Courtenay Edelhart writes that
     the Colts' "success on the field has been a boon for many
     area businesses," including the Colts Pro Shop, which has
     seen traffic "more than quadrupled since it opened last
     December" (INDIANAPOLIS STAR, 11/30).
