FRANCHISE NOTES

The Braves yesterday announced an average ticket price
increase of 7.5% for the 2000 season. In Atlanta, Carroll
Rogers reports that the increases are between 6.1%-9.1%,
"depending on location." Tickets range from the cheapest
Skyline seats ($1) to the most expensive Dugout seats ($33
     and $35) (ATLANTA CONSTITUTION, 11/30)....Last night's
Rockets-Grizzlies game at General Motors Place drew 15,086
fans, "better than the seasonal" average of 13,166. In
Edmonton, Mark Spector writes that fans "came to boo"
Rockets G Steve Francis -- who was originally drafted by the
Grizzlies but later demanded to be traded -- "as much as to
cheer" the Grizzlies (EDMONTON JOURNAL, 11/30). It was the
Grizzlies' "second largest crowd" of the season after
opening night (CP, 11/30)....In Philadelphia, Phil Jasner
reports that the 76ers "plan to unveil their new" alternate
road uniforms against the Knicks at the First Union Center
tonight. The game is on TNT (PHILA. DAILY NEWS, 11/30).
