replace the FleetCenter's current parquet floor with a
"similarly designed floor" starting on January 3. Pieces of
the old court "will be refurbished and integrated with the
new surface." The team will play their last game on the
present court December 22, and will hold a "Parquet
Memories" night (BOSTON HERALD, 11/23). The new floor will
consist of 264 panels and be constructed of the "same red
oak lumber." FleetCenter GM John Wentzell said the floor
will cost at least $200,000 (HARTFORD COURANT, 11/23).
