JORDAN SAYS NUMEROUS NBA OWNERS COURTING HIM ABOUT OWNERSHIP

          Since "negotiations fell through" to "buy half" of the
     Hornets from George Shinn, a number of NBA owners have
     called Michael Jordan about his interest in investing in
     their teams, according to Peter Vecsey of the N.Y. POST. 
     Jordan, on owning an NBA team: "Eventually, I think it's
     going to happen, something will materialize that'll make
     sense for all parties concerned.  Right now, these owners
     are under the misconception I've got an open checkbook with
     unlimited funds. ... I know what I can afford.  I also know
     what teams are worth.  One way or the other, I'm not going
     to put up my money without getting final say in personnel
     and business decisions" (N.Y. POST, 11/14).
