          Heat G Tim Hardaway, on the team's new uniforms: "The
     [design of the] neck makes us look like girls, like a WNBA
     team" (MIAMI HERALD, 11/12)....Penguins Owner Mario Lemieux,
     on Senators holdout C Alexei Yashin: "When you have a
     contract in hand you have to play."  NHLPA President and
     Canadiens C Trevor Linden added, "A contract is something
     you respect and not only because your name is at the bottom
     of it" (TORONTO SUN, 11/12)....On CBS SportsLine, Mike Kahn
     wrote that the "best chances" for Bill Laurie to own an NBA
     team "might be" if Rockets Owner Les Alexander "tires of
     fighting a losing battle for a new arena" and sells, or if
     Hornets ownership "continues to fail" in its efforts to get
     a new arena (CBS SportsLine, 11/11)....The Bills announced a
     five-year deal to hold their training camp at St. John
     Fisher College beginning in July 2000.  Fisher officials
     said that although the Bills will pay more than $200,000 a
     year for rent, room and board, "it's a break -even
     proposition after expenses" (Rochester DEMOCRAT & CHRONICLE,
     11/12)....The Galaxy defeated the Burn 3-1 last night in the
     MLS Western Conference championship before a crowd of 25,703
     at the Rose Bowl (San Gabriel VALLEY TRIBUNE, 11/12)....USA
     TODAY's Greg Boeck reports that Michael Jordan is "still
     quietly pursuing [an NBA] team" (USA TODAY, 11/12).
