BETTMAN: NHL HAS TRIPLED ANNUAL REVENUE TO $1.4B IN THE '90S

          NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman said yesterday at the
     Kagan's Sports Values & Finance conference in N.Y. that the
     NHL "has tripled its annual revenue during the 1900s to
     about" $1.4B, according to Ronald Blum of the AP.  Bettman
     said that much of that increase is due to expansion in the
     U.S.  Bettman added the revenue ranges from $60-70M for the
     wealthier teams to $30-40M for the poorer teams.  Bettman:
     "We are probably the best buy in sports teams right now
     because we have the upside appreciation" (AP, 11/11).
