NOMINATIONS OPEN FOR THE DAILY'S SPORTS INDUSTRIALIST OF '99

          THE SPORTS BUSINESS DAILY is now accepting nominations
     for our '99 SPORTS INDUSTRIALIST OF THE YEAR award.  The
     annual award honors a person or entity which through the
     past year has best represented our vision of sports as a
     global business and sports as entertainment.  All nominees
     should have a clear and definable impact on the industry
     through creative and innovative thoughts and practices. 
     Previous winners include NBA Commissioner David Stern ('95),
     Major League Soccer ('96), Fox Sports Group President David
     Hill ('97) and Coca-Cola VP & Dir of Media and Marketing
     Assets Chuck Fruit and VP & Dir of U.S. Marketing Asset
     Management Steven Koonin ('98).   The winner will be
     selected by the editorial staff of THE DAILY and announced
     in early 2000.  Nominations can be made in writing, on video
     or in person to the editorial staff by Friday, December 18.
