          SARA GILBERTSON has left her position as PSINet Dir of
     Sports Marketing & Business Development to become Senior
     VP/Marketing for womenCONNECT.com, a Web portal aimed at
     professional women (THE DAILY)....JOHN ROSE has been named
     VP/Human Resources at ESPN.  Rose served as NBA Senior
     VP/Player Relations and Administration since '94 (ESPN).   
     ...Turf Paradise Race Course President LONNY POWELL was
     named President & CEO of Santa Anita Park.  Powell will also
     serve as VP of MI Venture Inc., the subsidiary of Frank
     Stronach's Magna Int'l, which acquired the racetrack earlier
     this year (L.A. TIMES, 11/5)....Mandalay Sports Ent. (MSE) 
     promoted HOWARD NUCHOW to the position of Exec VP where he
     will be responsible for marketing and sales of all MSE
     properties, including its sports franchises (Mandalay).
