          Univ. of FL police "filed a sworn complaint" with the
     FL Attorney's Office to charge agent WILLIAM "TANK" BLACK
     and associate ALFRED "TWEET" TWITTY with "three felony
     counts of unlicensed agent activity."  Both men "could face
     up to" 15 years in prison and up to $15,000 in fines if
     found guilty of "making cash payments and buying gifts" for
     Univ. of FL football players (ORLANDO SENTINEL, 10/29).
     ...Cavs Owner GORDON GUND is scheduled to appear on CBS' "60
     Minutes" Sunday.  Gund will discuss retinitis pigmentosa and
     his involvement with The Foundation Fighting Blindness
     (Cleveland PLAIN DEALER, 10/29)....Nets C JAYSON WILLIAMS
     announced yesterday a $2.1M donation to his alma mater St.
     John's Univ. "in honor" of former coach LOU CARNESECCA. 
     Williams "thought his donation would be the largest" given
     by an athlete to a school, but later "found out" that Trail
     Blazers G STEVE SMITH gave $2.5M to his alma mater, MI State
     Univ. (N.Y. TIMES, 10/29)....The U.S. Speedskating Assoc. is
     "considering building" a 15-unit apartment complex near the
     Olympic Village in Salt Lake City for the 2002 Games in
     which "air would be diluted with nitrogen to allow skaters
     to simulate living at altitude."  U.S. Speedskating
     President BILL CUSHMAN: "We've checked this thoroughly and
     it's not considered doping" (S.L. TRIBUNE, 10/28).

On this week’s pod, SBJ’s Austin Karp has two Big Get interviews. The first is with TNT’s Stan Van Gundy as he breaks down the NBA Playoffs from the booth.
