Administration. Giraldo joined the league in March '98 as
Controller. MLS also promoted MIKE WHITEHEAD from Internal
Auditor to Controller (MLS)....FleetCenter President & CEO
RICHARD KREZWICK was formally named Exec VP of the Bruins
(see THE DAILY, 9/1). Krezwick will remain in his position
at the FleetCenter, but will also be responsible for all
business aspects of the Bruins. Meanwhile, FleetCenter
VP/Building Operations JOHN WENTZELL was promoted to
facility GM (FleetCenter)....BRANDWEEK's Terry Lefton
reports that MLBP Media Licensing Dir BRAD SCHLACHTER is
leaving for a similar position with Disney Interactive on
the West Coast (BRANDWEEK, 10/25 issue)....KENTON NELSON has
been named GM of Texas Motor Speedway (TMS). Before joining
TMS in '96, Nelson was in charge of souvenir operations for
the Mavericks from '94-96 (TMS)....The IHL Solar Bears named
KELLY LAFFERMAN as Dir of Business Operations. Lafferman
was Assistant Dir of Marketing for RDV Sports (RDV Sports).
...The Atlantic League Newark Bears named JIM MONAGHAN as
Dir of Community Relations and Baseball Camps, MATTHEW
DEFAZIO as Sales Coordinator and ROGER GONCALVES as Business
Manager (Mult., 10/24)....CONNIE GALLO has been named
Women's Sports & Fitness Advertising Dir, replacing ROBIN
NAYLOR. Gallo was previously Parents magazine Eastern Sales
Manager (AD AGE, 10/25)....The TV Games Network named JULIE
KRONE as a full-time racing analyst (DRF, 10/23).
