GORDON GUND SQUASHES RUMORS OF SALE OF CAVS TO DOLANS

Cavaliers Owner Gordon Gund "dispelled widespread
rumors by saying" his franchise is not for sale, according
to Mary Schmitt Boyer of the Cleveland PLAIN DEALER, who
writes that there have been "reports that if the Dolan
brothers buy the Indians they might make a run at the Cavs
as well." Gund, on the Dolans: "We've looked at doing
certain things together, but I don't think that means a
sale. I'm not sure where all of [the rumors] came from.
[Charles Dolan] and I have talked from time to time, but not
about [the sale]" (Cleveland PLAIN DEALER, 10/26).
A NEW LOOK: In Akron, Chris Tomasson reports that Cavs
rookie Gs Andre Miller and Trajan Langdon donned the team's
new uniforms in front of "several hundred fans at the team's
Tipoff Luncheon" yesterday. Gund said the old uniform was
"maybe too far to one side in terms of being ultra
contemporary," and Tomasson writes that the new look has a
white home uniform and black road uniform, with "little
orange to be found." Cavs F Shawn Kemp: "The shorts are a
little short. I guess the NBA wants to take a couple of
inches off these shorts after everyone started wearing baggy
     shorts" (AKRON BEACON-JOURNAL, 10/26).
