          NFL: CBS' NFL coverage is averaging a 10.1/23, up 16%
     over last season's 8.7/21 through the same weekend (CBS). 
     Meanwhile, Fox is averaging a 10.7/24, up 13% from last
     year's 9.5/22 (Fox).  CBS' "The NFL Today" is averaging a
     2.6/7, which is up 8% over last year's 2.4/7 through the
     same weekend (CBS).  "Fox NFL Sunday" is averaging a 3.6/11,
     up 9% over last year's 3.3/11 (Fox)....ABC's "MNF" is
     averaging a 13.8/23, up 1% from last year's 13.7/22 (ABC).
     ...ESPN's "Sunday Night Football" is averaging a 9.43 rating
     (7.258 million homes), up 27% (31% homes) over '98's 7.40
     rating (5.550 million homes).  Sunday's Bucs-Packers game
     earned a 9.52 (7.321 million homes) (ESPN).    
          LOCAL RATINGS: In Cincinnati, Sunday's Bengals-Browns
     game drew a 26.2 rating on WKRC-CBS, giving the Bengals a
     season-to-date average of a 19.2 on WKRC (CINCINNATI
     ENQUIRER, 10/15)....In Milwaukee, Bob Wolfley reports that
     the Brewers' 48 games on WCGV-UPN averaged a 5.5 this
     season, down from '98's 6.1.  The 79 Brewers games carried
     on Midwest Sports Channel averaged a 2.1, translating to
     "about" 17,000 TV HHs (MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, 10/15). 
          For broadcast numbers, one ratings point = 1,008,000
     homes.  For cable, "Cov. Area" = % of homes tuned in to that
     program in that network's universe of subscribers.

On this week’s pod, SBJ’s Austin Karp has two Big Get interviews. The first is with TNT’s Stan Van Gundy as he breaks down the NBA Playoffs from the booth. Later in the show, we hear from ESPN’s VP of Programming and Acquisitions Tim Reed as the NFL Draft gets set to kick off on Thursday night in Motown.
