TAG NOT PLAYING GAMES: WATCH MAKER LAUNCHES NEW AD CAMPAIGN

Swiss watch maker TAG Heuer "is launching its biggest"
ad and marketing campaign ever this week "by mixing avant-
garde fashion swagger with famous athletes," according to
Teri Agins of the WALL STREET JOURNAL. TAG Heuer is kicking
off its $12M campaign by "staging" a traveling photo exhibit
designed by fashion photographer Peter Lindbergh that
"features arty shots of famous athletes dressed in specially
created designer clothes that incorporate the look" of the
company's Link watch. Athletes showcased in the exhibit
include Boris Becker, sprinter Marion Jones and Brazilian
soccer player Leonardo, who will also be present to meet
with journalists (WALL STREET JOURNAL, 10/15). Becker and
TAG Heuer President Susan Nicholas were interviewed by
CNN/fn's Beverly Schuch on last night's "Biz Buzz" about the
company's campaign and its new Link watch product.
Nicholas, asked if "we'll see more sports figures and
fashion designers together": "Well, they seem like a good
marriage -- each inspiring the other" ("Biz Buzz," 10/14).
