SIX PACK: PRAZMARK CLOSE TO DEALS FOR 2002 WINTER GAMES

IMG Senior VP/New Business Development Rob Prazmark
said his company "is on the verge of signing at least six
more corporate partners" for the 2002 Olympic Games, and
"half of them will meet or exceed the $20 million mark,"
according to Linda Fantin of the SALT LAKE TRIBUNE. If
these deals are completed, the SLOC's $179M budget deficit
"could be cut in half by the end of the year." IMG has
"obtained letters of intent from two companies and is
negotiating the terms with four others." Prazmark would
not name the companies or products, but USOC Exec Dir Dick
Schultz said that "a computer sponsor is imminent." Fantin:
"Efforts to woo first-time sponsors are showing promise,
too. A classy, full-color brochure flanked by Olympic pins
and mailed to CEOs last week has generated five requests for
face-to-face meetings." Some of the new industries IMG is
pursuing include aerospace, tire and rubber and steel, in
addition to security, car rental, eye wear and
     pharmaceuticals (SALT LAKE TRIBUNE, 10/9).
