TELLEM LIKE IT IS! SFX LEARNS TO MASTER THE ARN OF A DEAL

          SFX Entertainment formally announced that it has
     acquired Tellem & Associates, the athlete rep firm that has
     a client roster of more than 20 MLB players and more than 35
     basketball players (see THE DAILY, 6/14).  Terms of the deal
     were not disclosed.  Among Tellem's client roster: Red Sox
     SS Nomar Garciaparra, Orioles P Mike Mussina, Lakers G Kobe
     Bryant, Warriors F Antawn Jamison, Raptors F Tracy McGrady
     and Pacers G Reggie Miller.  The deal follows SFX's
     acquisition of David Falk's FAME last May for a reported
     $100M, its acquisition of Integrated Sports Int'l in January
     '99 for a reported $14.1M and its acquisition of Randy and
     Alan Hendricks' Hendricks Management in June for a reported
     $15.7M (THE DAILY).  BLOOMBERG's Scott Soshnick reports that
     the purchase is "part of a more than $1 billion spending
     spree over the past 18 months" for SFX (BLOOMBERG, 9/30).
