          Vespa Sport Drink, which is made with "wasp spit," is
     "being investigated" by the Canadian government to "see if
     the health benefits promised" by its distributor Jeff
     Chlopan are "within the law."  Chlopan said that 70 NHL
     players use the product, although the Canucks have prevented
     him from selling the drink to them.  Choplan's Web site
     includes an endorsement from Rangers RW Theo Fleury that
     reads, "Great product.  Feel like I can skate all day"
     (Vancouver PROVINCE, 9/26)....Online horse racing wagering
     company Youbet.com has named the Syndicate, a network of
     partnerships that Ogilvy & Mather has with seven shops, to
     handle its estimated $15M ad account.  WongDoody handles
     creative, while Ogilvy handles direct marketing and media
     (WALL STREET JOURNAL, 9/27)....MLB has launched its "MLB
     Authentic Collection," its new on-field uniform apparel.  As
     part of the program, licensee Majestic will launch a new
     jacket to be worn by all playoff teams this year which will
     also be available at retail (MLB)....In UT, John Robinson,
     on John Elway's appearance in the Coors ad campaign: "What a
     terrible way to embark on a new [career]. ... This isn't
     about the right to appear in commercials, it's about
     judgement.  On the field of common sense Elway just threw an
     interception" (DESERET NEWS, 9/26).
