MEDIA NOTES

          TV MONITOR: Last night's 11:00pm ET editions of ESPN's
     "SportsCenter," FSN's "Primetime" (Fox Sports Net South) and
     CNN/SI's "Sports Tonight" all led with Mets-Braves, followed
     by Blue Jays-Red Sox.  The first non-MLB story on
     "SportsCenter," at 8:20, and on "Primetime," at 9:20, was an
     update on Cowboys CB Deion Sanders' toe injury, while the
     first non-MLB story on "Sports Tonight," at 5:55, was a
     Ryder Cup preview.  In another note, highlights of the
     Clemson-VA Tech football game, which was the featured game
     on ESPN, were shown at 17:15 on "SportsCenter," at 25:45 on
     "Sports Tonight" and at 32:50 on "Primetime" (THE DAILY).
          INTERNATIONAL KICKOFF FOR NFL: The NFL will begin
     simulcasting Sunday afternoon games to broadband Internet
     subscribers in The Netherlands, Austria and Singapore on
     September 26.  The league will "backhaul feeds from Fox and
     CBS via satellite directly to the broadband networks,
     eliminating the opportunity for U.S. Web surfers to view
     out-of-market games via the Internet" (ELECTRONIC MEDIA,
     9/23).  Games will be available in The Netherlands and
     Austria to subscribers of chello broadband n.v. while the
     league will use SingTel Magix to broadcast in Singapore. 
     Broadcasts will be in both real time and through Video on
     Demand and Near Video on Demand (NFL).
