MARKETPLACE ROUND-UP

          In a July survey of 300 sports fans by Nielsen Media
     Research, 11.8% of respondents said that they would buy a
     product endorsed by an NFL player, 13.4% would buy a product
     endorsed by an NBA player, 7.4% would buy a product endorsed
     by an NHL player and 7.6% from an MLB player (CBS
     MarketWatch, 9/17).... While "plenty of residential and
     commercial construction is taking place" at the World Golf
     Village outside of Jacksonville, FL, the facility's Project
     Developer Jim Davidson "wants even more development of
     office and retail space" (FLORIDA TIMES-UNION, 9/20).  
          NOTES: Women's activewear site Lucy.com is "searching
     for" an ad agency to handle its $10M account (AD AGE, 9/20). 
     ...Sandbox Entertainment is looking for its first agency of
     record for sandbox.com.  The company "previously handled"
     all advertising and media buying in-house.  The review
     included "six to eight undisclosed shops" (AD AGE, 9/21).
