Sports Net South) led with Yankees-Blue Jays, followed by
Red Sox-Indians. ESPN's 12:00am ET edition of
"SportsCenter" led with Red Sox-Indians, followed by
Yankees-Blue Jays. The first non-MLB story on "Sports
Tonight" and "Primetime" and was an update on Jets QB Vinny
Testaverde's season-ending injury, at 3:50 and 5:10 into the
broadcast, respectively. The first non-MLB story on
"SportsCenter" was Ricky Rudd joining Robert Yates' racing
team at 16:00 into the broadcast (THE DAILY).
NOTES: The CHRISTIAN SCIENCE MONITOR's Suzi Parker
profiles the launch of Turner South and writes the RSN could
"inaugurate new media possibilities that resonate well
beyond the South: regionalism on a grand scale." Turner
South "could offer a blueprint for more launches of regional
