NOTHING BUT NET IN PHILLY: COMCAST ADDS FSN NEWS TO SCHEDULE

In its attempt to "challenge ESPN," Fox Sports Net has
"just laid in a big piece of the missing puzzle" with
Philadelphia's Comcast SportsNet (CSN) picking up the
11:00pm ET edition of "Fox Sports News Primetime," according
to Dana Pennett of the PHILADELPHIA DAILY NEWS. Beginning
September 8, CSN will "reconfigure its nightly programming"
and will bump up the net's "SportsNITE" to 6:30pm ET and
move the late night sports news "PECO SpotLIGHT" from the
11:00pm ET slot to 12:00am ET. CSN President & CEO Jack
Williams: "Any time you have an opportunity to take
advantage of someone of Keith Olbermann's caliber, you do
so. This 11 p.m. show makes us that much stronger and
complements our local news and talk by giving fans one of
the best national sports newscasts available." The move
also allows FSN's "Primetime" entry into the nation's
fourth-largest media market (PHILADELPHIA DAILY NEWS, 8/31).
