The NHL has promoted GLENN ADAMO to Group VP/
Broadcasting and BERNADETTE MANSUR to Group VP/
Communications. Both Adamo and Mansur have been with the
league since '93 (NHL)....Kings Dir of Player Personnel/WNBA
Monarchs GM JERRY REYNOLDS was awarded a multi-year contract
extension. Reynolds will also be a Kings TV analyst on
KMAX-UPN and Fox Sports Net Bay Area this season
(Kings)....PATRICK MCNAMARA was named Assistant Exec Dir of
Raycom Sports' Micron PC Bowl. He was previously Dir of
Sales for the MLS Wizards and spent six years with the
Marlins in marketing and group ticket sales (Raycom)....The
N.Y. Daily News named LEON CARTER Sports Editor. Carter had
been Deputy Sports Editor since '96. In other moves, JOHN
QUINN was named Deputy Sports Editor and TERI THOMPSON was
named Sunday Sports Editor (THE DAILY)....In Ft. Worth, Jim
Reeves reported that MLB Rangers VP/Media Relations JOHN
BLAKE "soon will be overseeing" the Stars' media relations
"as the two franchises continue to consolidate in marketing
and other departments" (FT. WORTH STAR-TELEGRAM, 8/29).
