U.S. WOMEN'S SOCCER TEAM GETS SET TO KICK OFF NIKE TOUR

          The schedule for the Nike U.S. Women's soccer team
     World Cup Champions tour "is complete," according to Peter
     Brewington of USA TODAY.  The team will play Ireland in
     Foxboro, MA, on September 4; a September 26 match against
     Brazil in L.A. "is almost set"; South Korea in Columbus, OH
     on October 3; Finland on October 7 in K.C.; and Brazil on
     October 10 in Louisville (USA TODAY, 8/27).  In Boston,
     Shira Springer reports that as of yesterday, ticket sales
     for the Foxboro match had reached "just over" 17,000. 
     Foxboro officials "are hoping for strong support from Irish-
     Americans living in the Boston area"  (BOSTON GLOBE, 8/27).
