          Rockies GM BOB GEBHARD, the "only [GM] in Rockies
     history, resigned" Friday.  Rockies Exec VP GARY HUGHES is
     "expected to replace Gebhard eventually" (ROCKY MOUNTAIN
     NEWS, 8/21)....PHIL ESPOSITO, who was "fired" as Lightning
     GM last season, has "resurfaced" as part Owner of the ECHL
     Huntington Blizzard (ATLANTA CONSTITUTION, 8/22)....In
     Minneapolis, Jim Souhan reported that the Vikings have
     "fired longtime" Merchandise Manager MICKEY GIULIANI
     (Minneapolis STAR TRIBUNE, 8/22)....TONY CANADEO has
     "stepped down" from the Packers' 45-member BOD and has "been
     replaced" by GARY ROTHERAM, co-Owner of a WI ad agency
     (GREEN BAY PRESS-GAZETTE, 8/20)....Advantage Int'l named TIM
     ERENSEN as Tournament Dir for the ACE Group Classic
     (Advantage Int'l)....Global Sports has named CHARLES LAX to
     its BOD, bringing the number to five (Global Sports)....MARY
     HEENAN has joined Trojan Sports & Event Marketing as an
     Account Manager.  Heenan has spent the last four years with
     Winnipeg-based Palmer Jarvis DDB where she worked on
     sponsorship sales for the '99 Pan Am Games (Trojan).
