SAN ANTONIO'S TOWN KRIER: JUDGE PREPARING ANSWERS FOR PEAK

          Bexar County Judge Cyndi Krier is "preparing point-by-
     point answers to questions about the county's arena proposal
     raised in two letters from Mayor Howard Peak," according to
     Richelieu & Bower of the SAN ANTONIO EXPRESS-NEWS.  Krier
     said that "all major issues" between the county and the
     Spurs "have been resolved," although there was meeting
     Thursday between the team, the Coliseum Advisory Board and
     officials from the S.A. Livestock Exposition, which has been
     talking with the Spurs about "how they will work together as
     anchor tenants" at the new arena.  However, Krier added that
     she "didn't enjoy being pressured to draft" the responses to
     Peak's letters while still "carrying out a full schedule of
     county issues."  Richelieu & Bower write that Krier "hopes
     to have the responses" to Peak ready by "late today or 'as
     soon as we get the final numbers'" (EXPRESS-NEWS, 8/20).
