          DAILY VARIETY's Josef Adalian reports that CBS Sports
     Senior VP/Business Affairs & Programming TONY PETITTI "has
     been chosen to take over" as VP & GM of WCBS-NY. Petitti
     will continue to serve as a special adviser to CBS Sports
     President SEAN MCMANUS (DAILY VARIETY, 8/19)....Walt Disney
     has promoted JOHN BALL and SALIL MEHTA to Senior
     VP's/Strategic Planning and Development (DAILY VARIETY,
     8/19)....PRIMO NEBIOLO was re-elected to a sixth term as
     IAAF President (AP, 8/19)....CA-based MARSHACK SHULMAN &
     HODGES announced the creation of its new sports division,
     SPECTRUM SPORTS GROUP (SSG).  SSG hired SEAN PATIKAS-HUNTER 
     as Dir of Firm Marketing & Development (THE DAILY)....SCOTT
     EMMERT was named Media Relations Coordinator for the Sharks. 
     He was previously Dir of Media & Community Relations for the
     ECHL Chesapeake Icebreakers (Sharks)....The AP named ANICK
     JESDANUN as its "first" Internet reporter (E&P, 8/18
     issue)...KEVIN MCMAHON was named Promotions Manager for
     Atlanta Motor Speedway (SPEEDNET, 8/18)....LYN HOLMER was
     named as an associate with Williams Company of America Inc.,
     a PR company in motorsports (SPEEDNET, 8/18).
