EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

          ESPN promoted MILT LAWRENCE to the newly created
     position of Dir of Program Planning.  He will be responsible
     for day-to-day scheduling and strategic planning for ESPN,
     ESPN2, ESPNEWS and ESPN Classic.  Lawrence was Manager of
     Program Planning (ESPN)....ROBIN SHALLOW was named Dir of
     Corporate Communications for N.Y.-based Times Mirror
     Magazines.  Shallow was Dir of Public Relations for Sports
     Illustrated (Times Mirror)....Intersport named four new
     employees to its Chicago office: AMY AARONSON was named to
     Sports Marketing/Client Services; BILL DELZER as an Account
     Exec; DICK WALTERS and DENNIS WALTERS to Programming
     Development (Intersport)....Comcast-Spectacor named RICK
     HONTZ as Family Entertainment Marketing Manager and PETER
     CASEY as Sports Marketing Manager (Comcast-Spectacor).
