          Former Nike Dir of Women's Sports Marketing SANDI
     BITTLER was named the Blazers' WNBA franchise VP/Business
     Affairs.  Former ABL Power G KATY STEDING was named as a
     community liaison on a "temporary" basis, with the "chance
     it could turn into something more long-term" (Portland
     OREGONIAN, 8/12)....HEIDI MOORE was named CFO for ANC Sports
     Enterprises.  Moore was CFO for Sunburst Communications, an 
     educational/software video publisher (ANC Sports)....The
     Thrashers named DAN KAMAL as Dir of Radio Operations.  Kamal
     was a writer/field producer for CNN/SI (Thrashers).  Kamal
     will oversee WQXI-AM "SportksTalk 790" and WLKQ-FM and is
     responsible for building the Thrashers radio affil network
     (ATLANTA CONSTITUTION, 8/13)....Ajay Sports named RONALD
     SILBERSTEIN as CFO (Ajay)....Sports Supply Group named
     TERRENCE BABILLA as COO (SSG)....PATTI-ANNE TARLTON was
     named Dir of Programming & Event Marketing for the Air
     Canada Centre (Air Canada Centre)....In St. Paul, Charley
     Walters reports that Devil Rays Internet Manager DAVE WRIGHT
     "is leaving" the team (ST. PAUL PIONEER PRESS, 8/13).
