KS SPEEDWAY UNVEILS PSL PLANS, WITH GEORGE BRETT PONYING UP

The KS Speedway Corp. (KSC) will announce today that it
will "immediately begin selling seat-purchasing rights to
the NASCAR-style track under construction in Wyandotte
County," according to Jim Pedley of the K.C. STAR. The
rights to 13,750 "premium" seats will be offered. The cost
will be from $400 to $1,250 per seat, "depending on
location." Purchasing the plan "allows fans to secure the
rights to premium seating near the start-finish line."
Tickets for the races will be an additional cost and
Wyandotte County residents "will get the first shot at the
seats." The one-time price "guarantees the buyers their
seats for 30 years," and the rights are transferable.
Speedway Dir of Business Development Gillian Zucker said
that 30,000 mailers "will be sent out this week to those who
have been placed on the speedway's mailing list." George
Brett will be at today's press conference and has "already
been lined up for the first four seats" (K.C. STAR, 7/28).
