WCJ EVENT MARKETING POSITION: ACCOUNT EXEC/SR. ACCOUNT EXEC

          Chicago-based WCJ Event Marketing seeking qualified
     professional with minimum of 3-5 years experience in event
     and/or sports marketing with a degree in Business.
     Individual w/well-rounded event marketing experiences
     preferred.  Motorsports experience encouraged.  Candidate
     must understand general marketing practices, have experience
     and knowledge of on-site tactical planning and execution of
     events, and general understanding of other communication
     disciplines (advertising, Internet, sales promotion, trade
     promotion).  Thorough understanding of MS Word, Excel,
     PowerPoint and Internet/e-mail.  Position includes, but is
     not limited to, planning, execution and evaluating of
     Motorsports events throughout U.S., requires interaction
     with local client reps to plan in-store promotions and
     programs, as well as in-market events.  Candidate must be
     able to work independently to develop tactical plans, be
     very detailed-oriented and able to interact with various
     other agency and client partners.  Position requires
     approximately 30% travel and on-site presence at select
     weekend events throughout the motorsports season.  Salary to

Later in the show, we hear from ESPN’s VP of Programming and Acquisitions Tim Reed as the NFL Draft gets set to kick off on Thursday night in Motown.
