The third annual "Zo's Summer Groove" (ZSG), Heat C
Alonzo Mourning's three-day fundraiser to benefit the
Children's Home Society of FL and the 100 Black Men of South
FL, is set to take place today through Sunday in Miami. The
event kicks off tonight with the "Mega Groove Concert,"
which features entertainers SINBAD, FAITH EVANS, DEBORAH COX
and others. Saturday night's ZSG Party in Paradise will be
hosted by NBC's Bob Costas. ZSG's All-Star Basketball Game,
which is preceded by a four-hour block party, concludes the
event on Sunday and will feature NBAers JUWAN HOWARD, RAY
ALLEN, MARCUS CAMBY, JASON WILLIAMS, DAMON STOUDAMIRE, GLEN
RICE, MITCH RICHMOND and others. About $200,000 is expected
to be raised for the Home Society and 100 Black Men. As the
winner of the Miami Subs "Super Sub" contest conducted in
conjunction with ZSG and created by Game Plan and evans &
fitzgerald/marc, City Hallandale (FL) employee Tim Sternberg
will play in the final two minutes of the first half of
Sunday's game and play Mourning one-on-one at the end of the
half (THE DAILY). Mourning, on his annual event: "I have a
lot of colleagues who've had charity events. I noticed they
were all the same -- either a game or dinner or concert, and
always a one-day event. I wanted to do something special.
This is a weekend extravaganza where families can come enjoy
themselves, but at the same be able to give back to the
