          The MLBPA has signed a two-year deal that will make the
     HARD ROCK HOTEL in Las Vegas the host site of the annual
     PLAYERS CHOICE AWARDS TV special, to be broadcast nationally
     on ESPN in November (MLBPA)....Agent DWIGHT MANLEY, who
     purchased the floor of the Delta Center, the site of MICHAEL
     JORDAN's last NBA game, plans to have the "floor broken up
     into segments and auctioned off" by St. Louis-based
     Collectors Universe, One-Of-A-Kind.  The auction is
     "tentatively" planned for mid-October, and will be conducted
     live, on the Internet and via phone (AP, 7/12). ...ET's Mary
     Hart reported that KEVIN COSTNER held a "special screening"
     of his new film, "FOR LOVE OF THE GAME," prior to the
     celebrity Home Run hitting contest.  Hart: "[It] was a big
     hit with the packed house" ("ET," 7/12). ...Harlem
     Globetrotters Chair & Owner MANNIE JACKSON was interviewed
     on "Business Unusual" and said, "The global market is
     opening up like crazy, and we want to be a part of global
     expansion of sport and basketball.  And we're finding
     ourselves playing in that market real well" (CNNfn, 7/12).
