JOE MORGAN OFFICIALLY OUT OF ANDY DOLICH'S GROUP BID FOR A'S

NBC/ESPN MLB analyst Joe Morgan "has pulled out" of the
Andy Dolich-led group bidding for the A's, according to
Bonita Brewer of the CONTRA COSTA TIMES. Dolich said that
Morgan "never intended to give up" his broadcasting duties,
but "the group hoped it could structure a deal that would
make up for any financial losses he might have incurred in
joining the group." But Dolich said that "they were not
able to reach a deal." Dolich: "Joe is out as we move
forward, but the door isn't completely closed for him to be
associated with our group." Dolich said that Reggie Jackson
"may join the group" and submitted his name to MLB for
preapproval to look at the A's books (C.C. TIMES, 6/30).
