SALE OF JETS MOVING SLOWLY, COULD BE DELAYED UNTIL NEXT YEAR

The Jets "will not be sold any time soon, perhaps not
even this coming season," said two sources close to the
family of late team Owner Leon Hess, according to Gerald
Eskenazi of the N.Y. TIMES. The sources, one a long-time
friend and the other an NFL team owner, said that "it will
be some months before the Jets' prospectus detailing the
various financial and other aspects of the team will be
available from" Goldman, Sachs and Co., which is handling
the sale. Jets President Steve Gutman "has refused to
discuss any aspects of the sale" (N.Y. TIMES, 6/27).
