NFL DEALS: TRADING CARDS, COMIC BOOKS AND JERSEYS

          Playoff Corporation has signed a two-year deal to
     become the official trading card sponsor of the NFL QB Club. 
     Playoff will produce a special QB Club stand-alone
     collectible set and receives the right to use QB Club marks
     in connection with manufacturing, sales, advertising and
     promotion of its products.  The company also becomes an
     associate sponsor of the NFL Quarterback Challenge, a made-
     for-TV skills competition that airs on CBS.  Playoff will 
     support the partnership with ads and promos (QB Club).
          ULTIMATE CONTRACT WITH NFLP: Ultimate Sports
     Entertainment has agreed with NFLP and the NFL QB Club on a
     one-year licensing contract, with an option for two
     additional years, to publish a series of comic books that
     will turn NFL players into cartoon superheroes.  As part of
     the agreement, NFLP gives Ultimate Sports access to NFL team
     marks while the NFL QB Club will make available its roster
     of over 60 players.  The first four titles are expected this
     September (Ultimate Sports).
          NEW LICENSEES FOR PLAYERS INC: The NFLPA's Players Inc
     named new apparel licensees: Eastbay/eVenator -- custom
     authentic and replica jerseys to sell on the NFL's online
     store; Ripon Athletic -- custom authentic jerseys; Dynasty
     Apparel -- T-shirts, fleece and knits; Franco Apparel Group
     -- children's apparel; and Haddad Apparel Group --
     children's jerseys (Players Inc).
