HOW MUCH DO YOU WANT FORUM? ARENA SOLD TO STAPLES GROUP

          Staples Center Owner the L.A. Arena Company, whose
     partners include NHL Kings co-Owner Philip Anschutz and the
     Fox Group, has "plunked down nearly" $30M to purchase the
     Great Western Forum, according to Adam Sandler of the DAILY
     VARIETY.  The L.A. Arena Co. will "assume responsibility for
     management and operation of the Forum upon completion of the
     sale, expected July 31."  Lakers Owner Jerry Buss bought the
     Lakers, NHL Kings and the Forum in '79 for $67.5M (DAILY
     VARIETY, 6/25).  The L.A. TIMES estimated the deal for the
     Forum was for between $25-30M (L.A. TIMES, 6/24).
